Meta Dram is an independent whisky company who take rare and exclusive Scotch whiskies and turn them into unique concepts and releases. We look to bridge the gap between the traditional element of the industry and its future capabilities by incorporating technology into our process. Each whisky that we do is registered on a blockchain network, which gives our customer peace of mind that their whisky is fully secured, verifiable, manageable and giving them the option in the future of taking delivery of their whisky or indeed trading it through our blockchain marketplace. 

No. We use Blockchain for its core purpose. We tokenise all Meta Dram whisky in order to prove its existence, ownership, security and future tradability. It is not an NFT.

Once we register your cask on The Blockchain you will be set up your own Meta Dram account with full login and a Wallet ID. You will also be able to view your cask on the Blockchain directly so you verify your ownership. We will guide you through this process. 

First and foremost, transparency and security. By registering every whisky that comes through our portfolio on the blockchain we are creating a immutable database that gives our customers confidence in their purchase. Furthermore we are futureproofing our customers purchase. Whilst you might want to take delivery of your whisky immediately after being bottled, you can still be rest assured that we have registered your ownership of that specific bottle on our database. If, however you are not taking instant delivery you in the future by using our blockchain infrastructure are giving yourself the option of future trading your purchase or indeed just having peace of mind it is secure and traceable. 

Our verification process links your digital whisky token directly to your wallet, confirmed via our secure Fireblocks integration. This creates a tamper-proof, time-stamped record on the blockchain, offering immutable proof of ownership. We also cross-check this with our internal purchase records and bonded warehouse data to confirm full provenance.

The fee covers a thorough, multi-stage verification process. This includes digital token and wallet set up, contacting the bonded warehouse listed as the storer of your cask, legal documentation review, and the issuing of an official ownership token on the Blockchain as well as providing you a full Meta Dram login and Wallet ID.

Should we uncover any discrepancies or missing information or cannot verify your cask, we’ll pause the process and contact you directly to resolve the matter. We work in partnership with CEC Legal, who will assist clients that have potential legal disputes with their cask purchases. Our goal is complete transparency and fairness at every stage, if we feel we cannot tokenise your cask we will provide a refund if required.

Absolutely. Verified ownership gives you full flexibility and credibility when it comes to bottling, gifting, or selling your cask. It provides peace of mind not only for you, but for future buyers, bottlers, or recipients.
